The International Community on the Bioscience of Lipids convenes leading scientists and emerging researchers to exchange ideas across all aspects of lipid chemistry and biology.
ICBL provides an international forum for the presentation and discussion of fundamental investigations in all aspects of lipid research and related applications.
For more than seventy years, ICBL has attracted leading scientists while encouraging young investigators to share their work before an international audience. Presentations at the meetings have been given by "movers and shakers" including the Founding Fathers Sune Bergström, Christian de Duve, and Konrad Bloch — each a Nobel Laureate.
The well-balanced combination of scientific excellence with enjoyable encounters between young and established researchers has led to fruitful collaborations and long-lasting friendships.
